Nick Huffman, Head Teaching Professional
Nick was hired at Chomonix as a teenager in 2008 to wash carts and pick balls at the driving range. After high school, he played golf in college at the University of Minnesota Crookston. Nick then transferred to the University of Wisconsin Stout where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Golf Enterprise Management in 2014. He has been an Assistant Teaching Professional for the past 3 years before becoming Head Teaching Professional in 2017. In his few years of teaching he took one of his first students, who had never golfed before, and turned her into the 2016 Chomonix Women’s Club Champion. Along with teaching golf at Chomonix, Nick is also the Head Boys Golf Coach for Centennial High School.
Nick has proven to be an excellent student of the golf swing, and as such, has developed some different methods of teaching for each unique swing. Nick offers many different group lesson plans such as juniors, beginners and ladies. Greg Iden, Course Superintendent
Under the watchful eye of his father, golf professional Norm Iden, Greg started learning the game of golf at the early age of two. A graduate of the University of Minnesota, he concentrated his studies in turf grass management. Since then, Greg has spent over 33 years in the golf industry as assistant and head golf course superintendent. The past 23 of those years have been spent as a Superintendent at Chomonix Golf Course. His combination of golf knowledge and grounds management have made Greg a paramount asset to Chomonix.
Chris Bettinger, Golf Operations Supervisor
Chris earned an associates degree from Anoka Ramsey Community College and attended Anoka Hennepin Tech for golf facilities management. He has been in the golf industry for 27 years and the last 24 of those years in Golf Course Management. Chris is highly devoted to customer service and has made huge strides in improving the golf course during his 13 years as Golf Operations Supervisor.
